Ever feel lost or alone? Like you don’t fit in? Not sure where you belong?
As humans, we want to fit in and know that people care about us. But sometimes it isn’t all that easy. We could be sitting at a table alone feeling awkward and thinking that everyone is looking at us. Or we could be starting a new job, a new school or moving to a different town or city. Just starting over in a place where we don’t know anybody. We could be looking for where we belong in the world – what our purpose is. Maybe, we are needing some direction.
Even though we may feel lost sometimes, the truth is we never really are. As long as we are in Christ, that is. Luke 19:10 says, “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost.” In Christ, we are found. We have purpose. The question of who we are is answered because we are God’s children. To Him, we are somebody!
“he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will” ~ Ephesians 1:5
“Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God” ~ John 1:12
God loves every sinner. He loves every lost sheep (Luke 15) whether we choose to believe it or not. So, when we are lost, God will be our shepherd. He will go out, looking for every lost sheep until they are found.
Thus, we are never alone or lost. We belong to God!
